I've never played it before(or FF) but I think I'm wanting to try next season, seems like it could be pretty fun and more challenging and rewarding than fantasy football. Anyone interested? I think between the guys here and all the other various MLB fans on SportsHoopla(mostly Giants) we could get enough people together to form a league.

I joined a FBB league last year for the first time and I thought it was lots of fun.
I am now trying FFB for the first time and it's just not as fun imo.

What rules do y'all play by?

It seems like it'd be more fun. With Baseball you got a longer season, and more areas to judge a player on. Seems like every FFB conversation is something like "Should I start this guy vs this defense, or this guy vs this defense" but in baseball you can take into account what a player's stats are vs the SP, LHP/RHP, day/night game, home/road games, etc...just seems more managerial.

I've been playing for years. But let me warn you....if you want to be competitive it's a lot of work. Specifically head 2 head leagues. Roto leagues aren't quite as much work. Comparing fantasy football to fantasy baseball is like comparing checkers to chess. I would love to play if you get a league up though.

What kind of league do you prefer? I think I'm up to the task, hell all of us here on the Rangers board are obsessed with stats lol

I love FBB and would definately join a league with people from here as we all do seem to be knowledgeable enough to make it very competitive! I actually like the Head to Head competition, but you have to check it just about everyday, which I like though

I prefer roto b/c I don't always have time to tweak my team everyday

Can you choose to tweak your team as much as you want in the roto leagues? I'm not sure which one I would prefer, but I'm down for either.

i like roto,,,,h2h you just have to keep up with it everyday,,,,roto you can get by checking once to twice a week(i still check about once a day) but roto is easier for beginners and in h2h you can fall out of it fast if team is slumping early in the year

usually in roto leagues you can have unlimited moves ....but you limit the pitching to 200 starts so you can combat streaming(adding/dropping SP everyday to get wins,k's)

that is only starting pitching...if you go over your starts you still get credit for your RP stats

So a league can only be 10 teams? Doesn't that mean every team ends up being pretty stacked?

Bumping this up. Espn has their fantasy baseball system up now and we could use it. I've never done it before so I could use some coaching, but I would think this would be fun.
