Baseball is coming!

Let's hear your thoughts on trades, rumors and baseball in general.

Starting off: Corey Dickerson to the Rays and Jake McGee to Colorado...I think both these guys take a hit in value, but how much? It's pretty obvious for poor Jake with the Rockies. He's an elite reliever, but...Colorado. Hard to see him having the same numbers, but it's also hard to discount a guy who has been so stellar in the past.

Corey Dickerson may take an even worse hit, imo. Injury concern notwithstanding, it seems like he might be destined for a platoon with Tampa. Not good power numbers against lefties and the move from Colorado most likely makes things worse. The only positive might be the switch to the AL East.

Agree? Disagree? Let's hear your opinion on this and anything else that's on your mind!

I agree with your analysis... In general, ANY offensive player who leaves Colorado will have his value dip, and ANY pitcher who goes to Colorado will have his value dip...

But the question is, how much?

I would avoid both now... Not that I was actively targeting Jake McGee...

TB is a pitchers ballpark so that is 81 games there... Yes he will have 9 games at Baltimore, NY and Boston... But he will of course play in some other pitchers ballparks this season...

Will likely be closer to 110-52 Pitchers ball park to hitters ball park(calling all neutral parks hitter friendly)

Throw in a very possible platoon and...ouch. That's a killer in weekly leagues. He clobbers righties so he could still have some nice value in dailies.

Ehh... that CLOBBER might have been Coors field related... you would have to see what he is before trusting him... Now if you want a platoon player that will be great for dailies talk about Mark Reynolds

Big winners here are Blackmon and Parra, who are now locked into everyday roles.

Haha, big winners are Blackmon fantasy owners. There's a bullet dodged.

Well, it is Coors related: 35 HRs, 102 RBIs for his career against righties, 4 HRS, 22 RBIs against lefties.

24/78 of them were at home, so that's a good point.

So...if he was playing at Coors, was uninjured and thinking he was still with the Rockies, he'd be a solid play. Against a rightie. I haven't factored in day vs. night games. ;)
