Chester is not a below avg starter? Moses and Long should challenge for the starting positions this year.

First you aid Polumbus was a below average starter. I show you an impartial assessment that refutes this, and you switch over to Chester now?? You fishing bro and we both know it. Smart mony says that Moses and Long should be backups this year and rushing them in will likely result in what most fear, RG3 getting crucified yet again.

when I said 3rd round pick I meant Long. But they both should challenge this year.

i have no issues if those 2 earn starting positions

i just dont expect 2 3rd rounders to be day one starters

that expectation is too high

I just find it hard to believe that two rookies picked in the third round will beat out a 6th and 9th year vet for starting spots day one of the season. If they really had that talent level (in the case of Moses) and were that healthy (in the case of long) I doubt either would have been there in the third round. And I doubt seriously Polumbus or Chester are just going to hang their heads and give p their spots willingly as the odds are if they get beat out, they get cut. So while it might infuriate Dean and a few other fans, I expect Moses and Long to be backups this year. Not to mention I have said repeatedly its borderline dumb to change up 80% of the O-line when you are also changing up the passing game as a whole.

It doesn't mater what round you are picked in. If you beat out your competition you will play. Chester and Polo are not good olineman in my opinion if the two rookies beat them out no one should be shocked. Its not like they are beating out all pro's or solid starters. This is why Ribeye is a joke. The Redskins oline has been one of the weakest units during the Shanny era and he still couldn't content for a starting role.

Again dude I will simply point out.... guys that are as bad as you suggest do NOT last in the NFL for six and nine year careers. Are they all pro players?? Not even close. Are they stiffs that will just lose their job to any one that plays the position?? Probably not. I personally think the rookie wont beat out either of them. Now that doesnt mean they wont get the start.. .but I doubt that would be the first time we see a kid drafted or some one signed and made the starter even though they werent better than the guy they replaced. If they get the start fine, but if we go into the season and Polumbus is actually the starter... please make sure to take your blood pressure medicine regularly Dean.

Is it a lock that Chester is not cut before June 1?

When we first signed Chester to a long term deal he did play well for the first 2-3 years. Now its a different story. Polo was a Shanny guy. The reason why he played here b/c there was no real competition and he did fit the scheme.

As I said dean, keep those blood pressure meds handy. Because if the front office thought either of these guys were as much garbage as you say, they would have cut them months ago and used the cap space to bring in replacements. Instead they chose to keep them both and draft guys that might eventually take over the starting roles, but its Polo and Chesters jobs to lose, not the other way around.

they had to keep them b/c there was no one on the roster to replace them. The proof is the signing of Lenovo and the interest in De La Puante. Now there are two guys on the roster who could replace them.

Actually no they didnt have to keep them. And if they figured they were as bad as you say, then it would have been smarter to do exactly what they did with Montgomery and release them before FA started. It would have cleared $4 million in cap space. YOu dont think they could have found cheaper warm bodies for less than what they are paying them?? They kept them because they realized they were NOT nearly as bad as you claim. They signed a guard because they moved Litch over to center. They were interested in a center because Litch might be too light. But in none of these moves have they replaced the RT which you swear is the worst RT in the cosmos.

He had a much better season this year I will say than his Jr year. He was a RT as a Jr. and James Gayle ate him for lunch with every type of rush there is. This year he did fare better but didn't line up against Gayle when we played. Good luck to you guys with him. He is a local guy so I hope he does well despite he is a wahoo.
