Confirmed: 49ers hire Jason Tarver as senior defensive assistant/LBs coach. No DC is hired, but Tarver will have some input on calls.



Well this is good news he isnt our DC. Maybe people will cry a little less now.

I have no idea but hope its not Eric Mangini. There has been a few rumors he could become our DC.

With all due respect, let's let this play out and see how it goes. I don't think Mangini is a bad DC. He wouldn't be my first choice, but we could've done worse.

The OC will be a very important hire, can't afford to blow that one.

LOL, I heard that one on KNBR today, I think it was Larry Krueger who said it. Didn't both of these guys work with Tomsula in the past? I believe Tarver was with the 49ers while Tomsula was here

I think because this is Tomsula's first stint as a HC, having Sparano and Mangini might be a blessing. He did say that it takes a village to win/be successful. I think that it will be Chudzinski as OC. Although he's only had one year experience as HC, he was highly successful as OC with Carolina. Having several coaches with previous head coaching experience might just help Tomsula's transition go smoothly. That's what I am hoping for.

Also, getting kinda old how badly the pessimism is around the boards lately. WTH? Why not see how this plays out and if we shit the bed, sure, tell ole Mr. Silverspoon where bear shits. Until then, most need to chill the f**k out!
