  • The AFC East really does suck, outside of the Patriots. The Jets were the second best team, and they finished 21st.
Well yeah, when two games are scheduled losses before the season even starts, it's gonna skew things. :thumb:

But then the Jets still suck the rest of the season as well after those 2 games. This means the talent may not be abundant on the Jets ranked 21 or the other 2 teams in the conference ranked lower than the 21st ranked Jets.

Another way to look at it would be one reason the Pats have a few more wins would be because they are in the AFCE

And they are 29-7 vs the toughest division in football Since Brady took over as QB ( so 15 years). How does the AFCE stack up last 10 years vs the other divisions

The AFC North has been the NFL's best division in past decade

Vs. the AFC South: 33-6 (.846)

Vs. the AFC West: 22-14 (.611)

Vs. the NFC East: 14-5 (.737)

Vs. the NFC North: 14-3 (.824)

Vs. the NFC South: 13-3 (.813)

Except that the Jets went to the AFCCG in 2009 & 2010 - so they didn't suck as bad as you think.

Well they couldnt have done all that good if they are 21st on the list of 32 teams in the last 10 years. 2 good years out of 10 is like 20%. And the Jets are ranked higher than the Fins and Bills

I was making more of a point that the AFCE isn't as bad as you think.

They're not the best, but they're not the worst either. Unfortunately for the Bills, Jets & Dolphins, they've had a once in a generation team beating up on them the last 15 years - the Bills have taken the brunt of it - just 3 wins in 29 games.

I wish the Pats could play against the AFCS and NFCN all the time combined 47-9

The Colts at #4 is a pleasant surprise.

Funny someone representing the NFCN would bring records up. The rest of the NFCN rank 18, 21 and 27. Not sure why they say Chicago is 20 when they have the same record as the Jets that you keep bringing up? Must be alphabetical?
So over 10 years the 3 afermentioned teams have a combined 6 more wins. Bravo:clap: One might think with #s like that GB would be a little closer than 20 games behind NE:scratch:

With the amount of smack talk by the 12s I would've thought they would've been much much higher. Thank goodness for ties otherwise they may not have cracked top 10.

If you read the whole thread you will see someone mention the Jets and how they are ranked and that they are the highest ranked team of the other 3 teams in your division. So I was referencing them because they were used. In my opinion all these numbers are pretty much meaningless as what each team works for at the start or training camp is the Super Bowl trophy. In that respect the Pats and Packers are equal in the last 10 years. If one is in here to show how well their record is compared to others all facets of how that record was obtained should be talked about.

I read the entire thread. I noticed you commented on the Jets and the AFCE. Based on your comments it appeared you were trying to degrade the level of comp in the division. I was just letting you and the other posters know there really isn't that big of a difference:suds:
