They have my Astros ranked second.:suds:

That's great but this doesn't give them home field or even put them in the playoffs. It's not like NCAA football. Polls don't matter in MLB.

meh. I don't see the point in getting worked up over Power Rankings on May 1.
Mariners have absolutely curbstomped the Indians this year, but are 9 spots behind them, ok.

head-to-head in baseball is meaningless. also, see above.

So are power rankings tbh, just funny to see how dumb some of them are

they're also based heavily on preseason expectations. The Mariners by most projections were a .500-ish team at best whereas the Indians were projected to win the AL Central in a landslide. and despite the 16-12 start, the Mariners have a negative run differential. That offense should be one of the best in the AL, but that rotation is abysmal outside of Paxton (and he's had a fairly rough start). I don't think it's entirely unreasonable for power rankings to still be down on them.

but again, it's May 1.

The only thing I disagree with is that Mariners are 16-11
Also the Angels are in a bit of a slump their Run difference isnt very much better, yet they are top 5, with a worse record.

Thanks for correcting me.

The run differentials surprise me. The Angels were among the best prior to the Boston series. Red Sox and Yanks really put a dent in that (Red Sox outscored them 27-3, Yanks 17-5).
