No, it's the full site. Just have to zoom in and out to type, change forums, click buttons, etc.

Yeah, I pretty much do all my posting from my phone so I've got the hang of it, but its easier on a tablet or computer.

What's up buddy? I remember you from espn. Not much of an A's group here but feel free to hang around and don't be offended by how much we hate the A's. :D

For sure I'll pop in when we play a series at the very least, we dislike you because your good and a rival not for really any other reason.

Rangers look very smart for allowing Hamilton to walk during the off season.

Is there a lot of moderation on this site? I haven't really bothered to check out any posting guidelines or anything.

Not much as long as you mostly stay on topic and watch the language within reason, emotional outbursts are allowed just don't say "fuck" every other word all the time

Not much. Just don't dumb down the boards and we won't suffer trolls or fools very long.

Hopefully we'll pull the good baseball guys from over there.

Judging from some of the past posts here from some of the regulars concerning the posters on the Disney boards most of them were not to bright or something to that effect. Shouldn't be to hard to tell the difference.

Am amazed that ESPN throwing in the towel. That's a ton of ad revenue they are losing. Their original team forum disaster was during the summer of 2010 ... now less than three years later losing all presence is incredible. With BBTIA taking a hit earlier this year and now ESPN ... amazing.

Welcome to all who are making it over here to Sports SportsHoopla. This machine keeps growing and growing.

I stopped posting at ESPN two years ago when I started trying to get people over hear. I guess I should start posting here again since I haven't really been around this season.

Kenny ... you, JTA and Romeo I think led the way over here originally Aug-Sep 2010. Another massive exodus from ESPN this week makes this amongst the largest group of serious TEX fans on the web. We wouldn't have this here today were it not for you leading the way over and being our mod the past two seasons.

How is the adoption going? What's new in China? Note our new avatar. Someone you'd like to introduce us to?

Things are going great. One of the reasons I haven't been around this season is because we've been busy with our two new additions. April 5th we got our 2 year old son Landon and may 25th we got our 1 year old daughter Lily. Things have been really crazy! From 0 children to 2 in a matter of 6 weeks! Their adoptions aren't complete but the orphanage let us take them early while we're in the final stages of the process. This time next year we may be back home going to Ranger games!

My avatar is me and Landon in our Collin Kaepernick jerseys! Every year I get together with another friend and we watch the nfl draft, this year I did it with Landon too. :)

I need to start making more of an effort to get back here when I have time.

Hello, I'm from the ESPN boards. Mariners fan first, Rangers fan second. Seahawks fan last. Hopefully this board will be better. First ESPN ruins the Baseball Today Podcast and then they remove the forums (which were horrible since the change anyways).

How can one be a Mariners fan and a Rangers fan. It makes no sense. Because of the late 90's Mariners rivalry I will always hate them. It's like how as a 49ers fan I will always hate the cowboys, well it doesn't compare to that rivalry but you get my point. Funny when i think about it because I hate all Seattle teams and love the one that OKC stole from Seattle.

Im over here from ESPN as well. Not sure why they are going the FB route.

Anyways, why can't I start a thread here? I try to, and says I can't do it.

#2)Profar...I know it's early (@ 40 MLB games to date), but THIS is why a prosepect is JUST that, a PROSPECT and nothing more. Profar is hitting a whopping .246/.323/.364 this season (and adding in last years numbers are even worse), AND he already has 6 errors to date this season (the name Mark Reynolds/Adam Dunn ring a bell?)

Listen, Profar MAY end up being the next Jeter, Ozzie Smith, Biggio, Joe Morgan, or Roberto Alomar. The flip side of that coin is that he can just as easily be the next Morgan Ensberg, Phil Nevins, Rickie Weeks, Jeff Keppinger, or Cesar Iztsuris.

We can only hope he turns out to be one of the greats, but until he proves it, he's just that: an UNPROVEN prospect that MIGHT be good, or might be bad.

I know you build a roster in scouting and developing young kids, and throw them into the mix with some proven vets and you have to juggle enough of both to KEEP a competitive team year in and year out. My point is, that if we are able to move Profar for a PROVEN player, then we do it.

I have seen WAY too many "can't miss" prospects fall flat on their face at the big league level to know there is NOT ONE PLAYER that is GUARANTEED to succeed in the bigs.

I know some of you guys are HUGE Profar fan's and think he should be untouchable. Well, I will call myself a Profar fan, simply because he plays for the Rangers and I hope he succeeds but if we can move him for a PROVEN player, than we trade him.

Flame away.

Profar is just 20, lets let him grow a little, Mature, put on Muscle. #1 prospect in all baseball. He just has too many above average tools, ( Glove, Speed, Discipline, Bat speed, Versitility) to toss away on a "Proven player". Who would that be?:suds:

Profar is 20, and Elvis had plenty of mistakes too. Teams are built from prospects. Kinsler, Andrus, Harrison, Andrus, holland, and Feliz were all rangers prospects at one point. Ill trust the Texas front office evaluations of our prospects over yours.
