It's a really nice place. You'll find most the regulars here on the Sports General Discussion aka water cooler. About 90% of the posters here used to post at ESPN, lol.

I'm glad you take care of the pests, I mean, I don't care if someone wants to talk smack about the 49ers... it's kinda fun to have trash talking. I just got tired of every discussion turning into an Alex Smith or Yorks discussion. That hijacking crap was annoying as hell.

Yeah, you can pretty much say whatever. You might find someone here that doesn't agree with you, or find yourself getting into an argument/debate (which is normal), but you don't have to worry about "trolls" here.

That is why i didnt bother too much posting on ESPN. I read news and updates, but their were too many trolls. I dont mind a debate or discussion, and I know that everyone wont always agree. I just wont waste time on the trolls. So I appreciate this new site.

Yeah, I stopped posting there for a while now. I'll go there to check on scores and maybe stop by the Tennessee Board to read up, but there's way too many trolls for me to call that place home. And that new format is too slow...it's even worse, IMO.

I've been sending pm's out to some people telling them about this place and to check it out if they'd like. Not that I get a prize or anything for getting people over, it's just I really do feel sorry for all the good posters there who actually try to have good conversations but are ruined by all the trolls.

Yeah, they dont plan on fixing the new boards problems either. Well, at least not for a while. I clicked on the forum tab from the 49ers Team page and it sent me to the General Forums. I was really disappointed with ESPN. I have been watching this since Ray first posted it in the ESPN boards. I am quite impressed with this board and the fact that the number one priority here is solid sports talk.

I just now went to the Tennessee Board and the FIRST thread I seen was, "Hey Vols", and this was the post...

You guys are a joke! I sure hope you can survive those OOC games this year. You are going down even further than you already are after the NCAA gets done with you losers!

but...but...but we play in the SEC so we don't have to schedule big OOC games.

I was a regular on the ESPN boards but didn't post as much as some of the guys. Once the Alex Smith wars started I got too frustrated over there. I didn't even go on the boards for all of last season.

Wassup Ladies! MW49ers5 is in the house!

I was told about the changes at espn and went for a peek. The layout is nice, functionality - not so much. And, it appears espn is not too concerned about fixing the issues anytime soon. I think they are going to lose a lot of loyal posters come 8/15.

Anyway, It's been awhile and I’m not sure how long I can stay but it looks like most of the gang is here. I look forward to talking 49ers with some of the best on the net!

Good to see you on here MW. I noticed you weren't real active lately. I was worried about some of the Regs showing up after 8/15 on ESPN and finding a board full of trolls.
