Did anyone see First take this morning? Skip Dickless calling out D. Ware not showing up, especially in big games. All I could think about was all the heat I took from some of the guys for saying the same thing a few weeks ago. But the main reason I wanted to make this post was an interview on ESPN Tuesday with Mark Schlereth. He said almost word for word what I posted a couple months ago. The Cowboys have all kinds of talent. Talented enough to be a 12-4 but mentally and physically play like a 4-12 team. His biggest point he made is exactly what I said a couple months ago, organizationally the Cowboys are a mess in the front office. He brought up how Jerry undercut Garrett by stripping him of his play calling duties in his own separate interview. I had very high hopes for the Cowboys till that happened and I totally agree with his assessment. For 29 years before Jerry bought the team, the G.M., the front office and the coaching was the strength America's team. NO MORE. :gaah:

Im just going to throw in that for a perennially 8-8 team, every game is a big game. I dont buy that Ware doesnt show up. Does he fade some with doubles? sure, but shouldnt someone else be there to take up the hammer?

And I never once thought this was a 12-4 team. But thats just me.

the front office thing is no secret nor is it news.
But using Skip to make your point about ware probably hurts your argument more than makes it.

I really wasn't trying to make an argument. I personally can't stand bayless myself. Just informing of what some of the so-called ESPn experts are saying the past couple days.

Ware didn't "show up" after getting hurt last year, but probably shouldn't even have been on the field. This week he had a back problem that kept him out for 25% of the snaps. Last guy I'd ever criticize on this team is D Ware.

We all know Jerry is a mess in hte FO. we need Schlereth to tell us that?

As far as the "mentally and physically" goes I will disagree 100% THIS YEAR. This is a different team than the last few years. They say and do the right things. Competition is back. Guys are being sat down when they don't perform. Guys are swarming to the ball on defense. Guys are calling it like it is in the locker room and not worrying about offending others. I don't think that point is accurate any longer and that's the main reason I predicted us to win the division if the OL holds up this year.

I'll say this much, I never got why it was okay to single out some stars and not others. They've all done their fair share to stay mediocre.

Skip is all about Shock Value.
I don't think you are way off on him Manster. I lost respect for him when he wrote his book year's ago and claimed Aikman was Gay. As classy a guy as Troy is I sometimes wonder wht would happen to skip if we ever left him in a room alone with Troy.

Troy would pull down his pants and...just kidding...

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Skip Bayless is Pretty clueless. Same Guy who think Lebron James and MayWeather stink. The to perennial athletes of the respective sports. I don't see this team having the talent at db to be 12 win team. Scandrick is avg at best, and I'm quickly losing faith in Claiborne.

Anybody that associates Romo and Cutler with the clutch gene while saying LeBron has no clutch gene should not be taken serious.

ESPN and experts should never be used in the same statement.

They went pure shock value and drama YEARS AGO.

Only time I will watch ESPN is if I'm running late I will turn on ESPN News to catch the scores running across the bottom of the screen.......

Even Monday night football I turn the volume off. Monday night football has sucked ever since ESPN took it from ABC

The only ESPN ''expert'' I can stand to listen to is Herm Edwards. The guy just strikes me as straight up. The rest of them change their tunes every time the wind blows. If the Cowboys started winning, they'd say ''you heard it here first''. As to First Take, those guys don't even know which side of the fence they are on until their boss tells them which side to take.

Ware has been on the injury list for the last 2 weeks. It's a bit stupid to complain about him...but then the person complaining about him...

You predicted 11 or 12 wins. I predicted 9. Who was more right? Also, if you don't think the injuries have effected the way the season has gone then you are a little off in the head...

That was before Jerry stripped Garrett of his play calling duties. I just never updated my prediction. Once Jerry did that I knew it was over, Just didn't revise or post anything. You keep drinking that J.J. Kool aid there honey.
