We got hosed on the trade bad.

Easiest trade ever. A QB that was going to be gone in a year anyways (when he lost the QB competition to Sanchez), plus a number two pick for a QB that could take us to the Promised Land.

Foles = Good Player
#2 Pick = Good Player
Bradford = Potentially Great Player.

Its a trade aimed at taking us over the top.

Dare to be great my friend.

Foles played well in a year when the OL had one of it's better years in recent Eagles history. Plus there wasn't much tape on Foles for coaches to dissect. When the OL had a few injuries and Foles didn't have the super protection of the previous season he became a turnover machine and began to throw passes while retreating. Is Bradford a gamble? Sure ... but injury issues aside, he's put up decent pro numbers behind a crappy OL with a team lacking offensive firepower in a conservative system. It's a good gamble to switch QB's as Bradford despite a high price tag only has one year on that contract ... if he thrives it was a genius move; if it fails you just let him walk without it affecting one penny on against the cap. Chip knows Foles better than anybody, if he were any good he'd still be here ... despite great #'s two years ago and costing pennies on the dollar against the cap ... Chip sent him packing along with a 2nd round pick. Either Chip is an absolute moron or Foles is simply a run of the mill QB who shot his load in a fantastic situation 2 seasons ago. I guess we'll find out in a few months.

You really pulling the heisman card? :L Oh yeah the big 12 was great for him - they don't play D in the big 12. Then he got hurt his entire last year of college. Maybe he can run the spread O with Chipper at the helm? :lol:

Oh yeah he beat out one of Pouncey bros and Mike Williams for ROY. Impressive.

I can't wait until mid-season and we will see how u feel then.

Foles looked off even in ota's. ....missing wide open guys in pre-season. I don't know if he was injured or if the pressure of what he did the year before, but he stunk before he got hurt.

Sanchez stepped right in and took the job. If that's what Foles had to offer what did we really lose?

....aside from our '16 second rounder.

If Bradford blows chunks, at the very least we have Sanchez.

In 9 games Mark Sanchez had four 300+ yard passing games and missed a 5th by only 8 yards. Mark Sanchez, a guy who had become a joke at the QB position. Unless you have an Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady etc ... QB's are dependent on the talent and scheme around them. If Chip can make Sanchez a 300 yard per game passer, I think Bradford will do just fine here. A very good, veteran OL ... a great running game and good receiving options ... if Bradford is ready go health wise I think he'll blow away Foles' production this upcoming season.

You let me know when Bradfords healthy. Until then he's not even your dam starter.

And then when he is healthy, you will get to see the deer in headlights/ I've already made $70 million look.

Then go look how many RBs have had the amount of carries that Demarco had last year and see how many played more than 6 games or did anything worth a shit the following year.

Then look at your WRs

Then on to your OLine

Bottom line: Chip kelly should be wearing the helmet. He's special

Special Chip has as many wins in 2 years as Fisher does in 3. Weird.

...but his knee is weaker than Nancy Kerrigan's. Still has to be happy to be out of St.Louis.

Yep. This is what I love about the situation Kelly created. He has the upside of Bradford, but not the downside. If Bradford fails, they are no worse off than last year. The backups in Philly are not a pair of former undrafted Free Agents in Austin Davis and Shaun Hill. In Philly, its Sanchez and Tebow, a pair of former first round picks who both have led teams to the playoffs and won games there.

Congrats. Yeah it's tough when your starting QB is out the last 1.5 years. :lol: I guess he's all yours now. And You have a team built for October.

Rams beat Seattle and Denver last year with Shaun Hill. Bradford did nothing more than Hill or Davis ever did.

Teams like the Ram's don't invest in the depth necessary to win consistently. You can't stock your backup QB position with a bunch of undrafted Free Agents and expect to win. Injuries happen, and the best teams invest several million dollars in the backup QB position.

I see you hate Chip, Bradford and presumably the Eagles. Not sure why but lighten up. The games will be played.

Bradford has a good fastball. He can't throw touch passes to save his life, though, which is why he avoids throwing downfield

Protection and systems make or break QB's. Mark Sanchez' QB rating was over 10 points higher here than his best year in New York. His completion percentage was 8% better than his previous best in New York ... and this despite it being his first year in the system. Bradford will also have the backing of what I think will be a top notch running game ... Demarco Murray won't need to duplicate what he did last season as we will also have Ryan Mathews as his backup, a guy with #1 ability who has two 1000 yard seasons under his belt. Oh and speaking of systems making players ... look at how this system resurrected Darren Sproles' career who returns as the #3 and 3rd down specialist.

I'm not going to argue with you guys because you had to live through the disappointments with him. I believe it was bad luck, a bad O-line and a vanilla offense. I don't know about the luck but we'll fix the other two here.
