Tim Pinaccio reported that he is one of the players that the Flyers might look to trade for as the deadline gets closer. Hes making 2.9 this season so the Flyers should be ok cap wise. 13G and 13A with a 0 +/- on a very very bad Hurricanes team. Hes played under Lavi before and apparently one of his favorite players hes coached. Also a UFA at the end of the season. Im all for it. Definitely the 3rd line type of player this team could use. Cole-Richards-JVR would be a scary matchup for any team.

I wouldn't mind it IF we don't make it a stupid trade and only give up we can and don't need and as long as this is a playoff rental and he does not get in the way of a potential-Leino signing

Carolina is playing much better, 6-4 in last 10, and are currently in 9th. I don't expect to see all the "rumored" guys to go when they are this close to a playoff bid.

Pens are more cash strapped than the Flyers, and Kovalev makes $5M this year.

I don't see this getting in the way of re-signing Leino. Sounds like he is a top priority for the Flyers and that they'll have the money to make it work.

I dont think Leino gets resigned until the offseason and the Flyers figure out the salary cap number for next season.

According to Bill Meltzer, Walker would have to go through re-entry waivers...even in the playoffs.
