don't know where you're coming from. Just disappointed in someone I thought was clean and learned from mistakes.

Your posts made it seem like you're just ragging on him. If you really do know him and "root" for his sobriety, you seem pretty hostile about it.

Gets a job where he doesn't use his Volunteer experience, Shit happens man. This guy was HANDED 2 golden lives. Threw them both away with dumb mistakes.

Or wait, Ainge is what? 27, oh yeah I forgot, he is just acting his age, lets give him more chances.

Guy's ONLY 27 and your ready to burn a "personal friend"? Wow have you got a ton to learn about with addictions. I hear the ya about the "2 lives", but with some it may take 3, 4 5 6 times. Believe when I say after each "life given" a repeat offender learns, generally speaking. Hopefully most learn after 1 time, but that's just wishful thing and expectations waiting to fail.

My advice...be patient as the guy continues to move down the ladder rather than up it.

Pretty sad. He was one of my favorite Vols when he was playing. He was a great player in college and was even in the Heisman race but got injuried multiple times in his career. Also the nephew of Danny Ainge (Celtics Owner). Not sure what his future is but I hope he bounce back and not fall back into that addiction again.

Its a really distasteful act on his part to do this to his family. If he's fallen back then I pray for his new young family and their strength through this. Just pisses me off that he hasn't realized what he has.

Well, do him a favor and NEVER predict he will stay sober.

Easy there, I wouldn't call Ainge a great player in college. Good, yes, but nowhere near great, especially after handing LSU the SEC title in '07....

what? when did Chip Kelly ever get a DUII? So you're saying these college kids should be held to the same standard as a recovering drug addict who is now in the public eye?

Ainge was HANDED a schollie to Tennessee, gateway to the pros, got that chance, make millions, retire. Instead he threw it away with drugs.

FINALLY, cleans himself up, gets a second chance at life, marries a beautiful bride, has young kids, Fulmer hands him a job at a radio station to talk Vols football.

He throws it away with a DUII...What is he doing at 1:30 AM when you got a wife and two kids at home?

Funny thing is, he said he moved to Tennessee to be back around a more welcoming, supportive and comforting "family." Now, apparently the Sheriffs office isn't about of that Vol family Ainge was talking about.

:agree:Nicely said OD....
