The Buffalo Sabres have signed center Tyler Ennis, a restricted free agent to a two year deal.
In a statement, GM Darcy Regier said,
"Tyler Ennis is a very important part of our offense and we are very happy to have him signed".
Reports have the cap hit at just over $2.8 Million. In 48 games last season, Ennis scores 15 goals and added 19 assists.
Ennis, who turns 23 October 6th, was the Sabres second 1st round pick in 2008 with Tyler Myers being the first.

Happy it's done, but I have to ask:

Why the hell did it take so long to get only a two year deal accomplished? It's not like Darcy was spending all of his time signing any other big name free agents.

Probably because he is a restricted free agent so there was no real urgency for Darcy to get it done.

I just think it sends a terrible message when they race to sign a bunch of AHLers then have over a month from their last signing (Biega on 8/6 per CapGeek) until this one.
