When the hell is Eifert eligible to come off the DtRIR?

Does that only last 8 weeks? He got hurt week 1. So 8 more weeks would send it through week 9, he is not playing this week so that takes it through week 10 for practice and game shape and has a full week and half to get ready.

Will he be eligible the following week against New Orleans?

Hobs is already 'floating' information about a second procedure he needs that will allow him to straighten his elbow.... He mentioned December.

I'd look for him next fall.

I believe he is eligible to play tonight. But i did hear the whispers that he may need surgery. The medical staff strikes again

I'm sure he'll be sitting next to David Pollack in a few years talking about college football..... With his arm in a sling.

I warned everyone not to bank the season on his return, I mean what exactly has he done in 1+ years?

He was a rookie last year that was on the bench a lot and also hurt.

This year he got hurt bad right away in game 1.

I am not disagreeing that he hasn't been around much, but it is clearly obvious that this offense is better with him in it, than not in it.

This next year we are going to have to draft T, WR, TE, DE (not necessarily in that order). Reason being, we will have to let Gresham go to give Green his long term contract, not that I will be that broken up over it.

Whitworth is older, Tits is getting beat more this year and only has 1 year left on his contract following this year.

We need another play maker at WR who can be there to help with the offense when guys get hurt.

Just think this offense could have had Dez Bryant instead of Gresham. We would still have no TE to speak of, but between Green, Bryant and Sanu, our offensive weapon set would be crazy, especially if Jones and Eifert were not hurt.

How is it obvious? He played one quarter in Hue's offense. Yeah we looked good that quarter and Eifert made some plays, but it was week 1, quarter 1..... I'm not sure we can really make definitive statements about anything. That said, I'm sure we would be better if he played.... Right now we have one pass catching tight end that stinks and one H-back that is on the team for his blocking. Probably not hard for d-coordinators to game-plan for that.

As for Dez..... Had we drafted him I think it's unlikely that we would have picked AJ the next year. And it's certainly not likely that had we taken Dez and AJ that we would have used a third rounder on Sanu.

I agree about the last statement. I was just basically substituting one for the other which could have been had. I know that is not realistic in any way, just a hypothetical of course.

I thought Eifert looked great in training camp, preseason, and I was impressed with the way he was growing as a player from his rookie year to his sophomore year. You can have your opinion I suppose, but to me it was quite obvious.

It doesn't matter anyways. We have no QB to throw him the ball, so it doesn't matter if he comes back this year or ever, until he becomes a FA or is traded.

I hope this team doesn't win another game the rest of the season.

Sounds good to me. We are going to finish 4th in our division regardless, may as well get a better draft pick out of it and put Dalton's performance on notice.

Eifert is a bust. Just like Kirkpatrick before him and Dennard soon to be after him. Two special teamers and a one armed TE...our last three first rounders. Let's keep readin the fluff and propaganda about how great this front office is though!

Would that be enough for them to get rid of Dalton and Lewis? Doubtful................

No. But it may embarrass Brown well enough to give both Marvin and Dalton one last year to prove themselves. Then of course, we will lose Green, as there is no way he resigns a contract with this team.

This game was the beginning of the end of this run of three straight playoff appearances.

I love Dennard and Eifert. At least for now. Things could always change. Everyone is on notice.
