Didn't see this posted yet... I wonder how serious this injury is and how much of an impact it has had on his recent production, or lack thereof. Regardless, I hope they do rest him for a game or two and get him as close to full health as possible come playoff time.

I hope he gets it together, he has been a disappointment to say the least.

Edwards has definitely not been living up to his normal level of production. What worries me is if this lack of production frustrates Braylon enough to want to leave at the end of the season, and SF not having the (current) reputation of other defensive styled teams, such as Baltimore & Pittsburgh, is going to have a hard time convincing in demand FA WRs to sign with the team in the offseason.

Of course those are hypothetical ifs, but that idea is slowly creeping into the back of my mind.

What is his normal level of production though? Maybe this is simplistic view of the situation, but when I see WR-hungry teams like the Browns and the Jets letting him go its an ominous sign. Then not much interest around the league, not damning but still not positive sign of his ability. Then you see him play up-close and he's not doing anything......I'm starting to think he might not be that great.

He should sit for a few weeks. Right now, he's doing more harm than good, to himself and to the team.

Rest him sure...

He looked so much better in the preseason than this whole season. So i'll buy the injury excuse.

He doesn't look right due to being injured. He lacks explosion out of his breaks and that also messes with his timing on routes. Even with that, we need him out there for blocking purposes and an occasional quick slant until he's totally healthy.

He seems like a well spoken, hard working young man who puts the team first. Let's see what he does after he's had a chance to heal up when we get to crunch time in the playoffs. I bet he produces.
