A year ago that was a clean hit. Not now. He made contact with the players head. You cant do that anymore.

Im not gonna go on and on and Krecji did not return to the ice for the rest of the period. That is what I am concerned about.

If it was a penalty or not really dont mean shit.

Contact to the head and a hit targeted for the head are two completely different things. There was nothing wrong with that hit. And at least he didn't hold his head down and ram it into some blunt object that I can't remember the name of right now.

It's called a stanchion. It's not a penalty to check someone into a stanchion. Below are other examples of these types of checks.

Both of them had almost 7 mins of ice time in 1st. I would think that is too much. Maybe not but the highest Bruin was like 5 mins. 2 mins does not seem like a lot but at the pace these teams are flying i suspect that is huge

I have to disagree. Sure, his shoulder hit him in the head but what do you want MAB to do there? Low bridge him so he doesn't hit him in the head?

If you have your head down and you're watching the puck then you deserve to get hit. That doesn't fit the criteria of a blindside hit either. It was a horrible call imo.

I wasn't trying to be a smart ass. I'm just bringing up that the rule book doesn't make any hit to the head illegal. Just headshots that come from the blindside and that definitely wasn't.

I do hope Krejci is alright. I just don't agree that it's a penalty or that it was dirty.
