I just hope the Bruins crush Tampa Bay and all of their fans tomorrow night... It will bring so much joy to me. If I had disposable cash I would be there tomorrow night.

This had to be resurrected? And now my own brethren is siding against me... :L

Jeff, I'm just getting caught up on the post using my friends computer. I now realize what you meant and agree that throwing shit on the ice is pathetic. I even pointed out how you said after game 1 how pathetic it was that Bruins fans threw shit on the ice. Sorry I didn't read the entire thread before posting. I had to catch up on 7 pages of posts.

No need to go that far, Jeff. No one is purposefully dragging out the topic. BTM just happens to be catching up to the posts he missed, without reading the entire thread first.

Yeah, sorry, I miss my computer sooo much. My opinion on last night? Great game. I think the penalty by Seidenberg when we were up 2-1 change the momentum. I was really pissed because I thought Boston carried the play up to that point. But kudo's to Tampa, they seized the moment. On to Boston.

Again, sorry Jeff. One more Bruins comment from me. I wish Julien was as passionate and could motivate the team the way Tampa's coach can.

Sorry to be the grammar police, but you spelled smart ass wrong. ;)

As to the series, I have to say I've been really impressed by Chara. I've seen him on a number of ocassions before, but the great thing about watching a whole 7-game series is really getting to get a little more in depth with specific teams and players that you might only see here and there during the season. Chara just blows my mind. It's no surprise when a guy his size can finish a guy into the boards and stick him there, but the way he stick handles in the neutral zone and along the boards in the offensive zone with that huge stick is just crazy. If he were 6 inches shorter and trained as a forward, he'd probably be one of the league's top goal scorers.

Mad respect for that villager-eating giant!

Mystery unraveled...I think.

I looked at this video to get another angle. It's definitely a player that was on the ice at the end that sprays the person. That means it was:
Chara, Lucic, Kaberle, Bergeron, Horton, or Krejci

-Chara and Lucic come off the ice first and go straight to the dressing room.
-You see Krejci clearly slap shot one of those "clappers" down the ice and is not the person spraying the water after he gets to the bench.

I believe it's Nathan Horton, in the bench, with the water bottle. Look at this video at the 0:37 mark and you see him bend down to pick up something and it looks like he does something after that.

Sorry i did not get a chance to comment on the garbage on the ice thing.

You cannot compare throwning towels on the ice with those racket things the TB faithful littered down.

Either case I dont much care.

Game 7 in Beantown and I will be insanely nervous. So be prepared I may blow a valve

Yeah, it does seem ridiculous, but according to precedent and the league's explicit policy, don't be surprised if Nathan Horton is suspended for game 7...

Tortorella was suspended one game two years ago for spraying a fan. Here's a snippet of an article that makes it sounds like it's almost inevitable...

"While, in these circumstances, it always is easy to allege mitigating circumstances, the fact is we do not tolerate contact with our fans in this manner. That is communicated before each season in a memo that is issued by the League to all of the management, coaches and players of every team. "The Sept. 8, 2008, memo entitled, ‘SUPPLEMENTARY DISCIPLINE REMINDERS FOR THE 2008-09 SEASON,' included the following section regarding Contact With Fans:

----------------

Even where a fan is verbally abusive, intoxicated, or profane, Club personnel should either ignore the conduct or, where appropriate, seek the assistance of police or security personnel at the arena.

This prohibition extends to all forms of physical contact, whether it be direct physical contact, the throwing of objects (including hockey sticks and other equipment), or even the squirting of water. While the latter form of conduct may have, in the past, seemed to be of a minor or harmless character, such conduct may serve only to incite and provoke an unruly fan and may ultimately lead to unforeseen consequences.

Accordingly, please be on notice that all Club personnel (management, coaches, trainers, and/or players) who engage in any form of physical contact with fans, including the squirting of water, will, on a going forward basis, be subject to discipline in the form of a suspension. The Club involved will also be subject to a fine.

----------------
The suspension was issued pursuant to the Commissioner's authority under Section 6.3(j)(1)(a) of the NHL Constitution. Tortorella will miss the Rangers' next game - tomorrow afternoon vs. Washington.

Sounds like it's a no tolerance policy. Bad news for Horton.

yah i after reading that and a couple of other takes it might be very bad news for Horton and Bruins fans

NHL warned against squirting fans in preseason video.

/note: squirting is a verb in the above sentence

Just because you are a professional athlete should not mean that you should deal with that bullshit. I'm really getting heated right now.
