Honestly without Valentine Iowa is the better team. They'll have more experience, the best player on the court and it's at home. I don't really even think it'll be all that close. Iowa by 8-10I see you're taking the exact opposite approach to basketball season. lol.

Yep. The top 25-30 teams this year are all super close imo. All that said it's Iowa basketball so we will probably lead the entire game then lose it at the end lolThat's probably true. Valentine is probably worth 6-7 points. Iowa is favored by 3.

Well it dates back as long as I can remember. As an Iowa fan the impending feeling of doom in EVERY close game is part of the fandom. We, as fans, KNOW that when that last second shot by an opponent goes up it is almost assuredly going in. Conversely the last second shot by Iowa is never going in. I think it dates to the 87 team blowing a 20 pt halftime lead vs UNLV in the E8. Iowa was the best team in the country that year. Its been karma downhill sincelol. It is one of the more mystifying things that Iowa has trouble closing games out given their senior leadership on the team. I remember that costing them some games last year as well.

I know the feeling of tourney heartbreak with a top tier roster. Just never truly leaves your mind lol.
What does that feeling feel like?
I've gotten a glimpse, but only because of cheating...
Sorry about what's going to happen. You'll get em next game!
Yeah...no. You're just a bitter and envious U of M fan. Valentine is a top POY for justified reasons.CBB is just weak this year and has been for a while now.
Go look at some of the great teams from the late 90s, early 2000s, Valentine is a POY candidate this year and wouldn't be a major contributor on a lot of those teams.

He's right. The top this year is extremely weak. I mean hell just compare it to last year. But he's definitely right when comparing to the 90's and early 2000's. Alot of that has to do with the mass defections from last year and the Freshman class being one of the weakest in recent memory. I will say though Valentine has been tremendous thus far.
