Not sure how many of you play the NHL series, but I'm a big fan of the series and often use it to get a rough idea of rosters for teams I don't typically watch. This year's installment is expected to have a few new features which I find interesting,

* 1 touch dekes: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjJd6-9I2oM]NHL 14 One Touch Dekes Gameplay Trailer - YouTube[/ame]

* Collision physics: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6tggtJBe7c]NHL 14 Collision Physics Gameplay Trailer - YouTube[/ame]

* Enforcer engine: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMxd8W6r3hA]NHL 14 Enforcer Engine Gameplay Trailer - YouTube[/ame]

* NHL 94 anniversary mode: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8pLV4-RImk]NHL 14 - NHL 94 Anniversary Mode Gameplay Trailer - YouTube[/ame]

If anyone intends to play this game on PS3, let me know. Always up for a good scrum :yahoo:

I will buy it, but not new. I am boycotting (for a period of time) over the cover vote.

Yeah, I voted for Bobrovsky myself, but I guess it makes sense to have Marty on the cover if the theme is the game is to go back to 1994 LOL

I tend to dislike when fan-voting is implemented into something, because one fanbase just stuffs the ballots...but I suppose if there's anything that SHOULD be fan voted, it's a video game cover. Still confused as to why Marty won it in his 40's.

No matter what, I am sticking a Bobrovsky fathead on the box.

I agree, fan voting for the NHL series cover is a mistake. Last year, they did a major upgrade on the goalie motions yet Giroux was on the cover. This year the big feature is deking yet Brodeur is on the cover. Fans have no idea what the big feature in the game will be, EA developers do, so it should be the developers who decide who's on the cover. That's my opinion anyway.

That's my biggest issue with it for All-Star voting, mostly in the MLB though. Three freaking Colorado Rockies in the starting lineup when their record is under .500, but yeah...this game should count for home field advantage IN THE FREAKING WORLD SERIES.

Yeah, I don't see the sense in the All-Star game deciding home field advantage in the World Series. It should be based on who has the better record IMO.

His tweets got me to vote for him. Plus, he's a legend. His whole "campaign" was pretty much listening a different record or milestone every day.

True, I don't think anyone could get too upset about Marty being on the cover. He's a true living legend, and very deserving.

As a Rangers fan I did my best to stuff the Ballot box against Marty... Apparently I didnt do such a good job.

Wouldn't be surprised if the voting was fixed from the beginning. The big marketing scheme for the game is NHL 94 anniversary mode, and what better way to turn the clock back to 1994 than put Marty on the cover?

You could still play classic controllers. It's not as geared for the game as the joysticks but a lot of the old school NHL series fans still play like that. Nice thing is that you could still do the deke moves with the joysticks if need be. Thing with the new skating engine, it gives you a big edge to be able to roll the joy stick so you could pivot.

You don't think that EA controls the "fan vote"? They get who they want to be on the cover.

I'm sort of iffy on NHL 15. I'll probably get it (I get the game every year), but it will be their first year on the next gen consoles so I expect a lot of bugs.
