well, if you walk 18 that's about 5 miles. In my case, nothing will improve my game. I'm just relegated to watching my kids play golf tournaments. I do go to the gym three times a week just to get some exercise.

I'm not a gym rat by any stretch but I do stay in shape. At my age though its just walking, golf and some yoga. Yoga works wonders for your golf game.
Well, they say weights burn more calories than cardio (I wouldn't know, I don't mess with weights). I listen to music while I walk and I love golf so much that walking the 5 miles, closer to six if I'm not hitting it straight, I don't even notice I'm tired.Walking is really good as you get older. I haven't been able to run in many years. My knees can't take the constant pounding. I just use the elliptical machine at the gym. The cardio work is boring and just and a chore. I am into weights. Still train with weights intensively at my age.
