Just got bought out by the Rangers. Has an extra 3.3 mil in his bank. He should be pretty cheap. Him and Danny B pairing up again would be interesting. Just throwing another option out there because I dont see Leino happening. Thoughts?

Definitely depends on the price tag -- he'd need to be willing to take a serious pay cut.

I'd bring him in for a tryout -- like Guerin last year -- and if he looks good, make him a realistic offer.

No way he comes in for a tryout. Hes worth 2-3 mil. Still can put the puck in the net.

Hmmm, I don't think he's worth that at all. I would say 1.5M - 1.75M range is what I'd offer.

I'd only take him if he's willing to play for cheap. Doubt it though.

2 mil is the ceiling. and i would definately take him for anything cheaper than that. what the hell were the rags thinking giving a guy that never passed 70 pts that kind of contract.

i'd probably go a little above 2.. i'd go 2.5 maybe 3.. he'd be the perfect 3rd line center for this team

good on the PK, pretty good on draws (i believe), and a good 2-way forward.. veteran leadership.. and he can still provide some offense

if he was retiring why would new york buy him out? he wasn't on a 35+ contract, he's not even 35.. buying him out keeps his cap hit on the books, letting him retire doesnt

idiot new york friend indeed! :)

1.5 - 2 mil max. I am really nervous about the miles on his clock. If he can go he is a good forward. He would help eat minutes and take some pressure off a bit...if he can go.

I know it's been touched on by some, but it's hard to believe nobody hasn't started a Parise thread yet..
