Dream the Dream
Hicks and Vogey led the team
On a sunny bright day in the City by the Bay
Vogey sang his song on the mound
Some thought this could be his last round
He stood tall
and we all saw the opposition fall
A Heart of a Champion never dies
He lives to fly once more through the sky
Wizzing fastballs and sliders by batters who could only ask why?
Why on this day would they have to sigh
Big 32 on his back but a Giant at heart
He did his job and kept the team close late
Hicks took the baton and ran with it to the plate
Launching a 3 run HR to left ....as the ball danced a happy, happy, dance
Landing in the stands ...the fans screamed throughout the land
Giants Sweep ! Giants Sweep!
Brooms in the air....Orange & Black in their hair
Giants now 15-10 on the year
A wonderful day
Memories that no one can take away
Hearts of Champions see things that way
The season will go on with many games to play
But no one will ever forget this day
As dreamers dream the dream from day to day
