Ok - Lock won four out of five games started and injected energy into the Broncos. It still raises the question - is Jeff Driscoll the ideal backup to Lock? He's a temporary solution.
The Broncos have a QB whisperer in Shumur and his QB guy. They will want to develop a guy behind lock - in case Lock gets injured, or when 3 years are up and he has one year on his contract and they can't sign him. Even if you don't need the guy - you can potentially trade him for value and sign Lock.
I am suspicious that the Broncos might take a mid-round QB to groom as he backup or replacement for Lock long term.
Who would be good QB picks in round 3-4-5?
