Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports reports the Cowboys plan to select SMU WR Courtland Sutton on Friday.

A 92nd-percentile SPARQ athlete, the 22-year-old is widely considered the top receiver available and should be drafted early on Day 2. Dallas desperately needs a pass-catcher after cutting Dez Bryant and losing Jason Witten to retirement. The Cowboys don't pick until No. 50 and will likely have to trade up to land Sutton.

Eagles jump us and get a position of need. Our first round pick was underwhelming and the 2nd round pick was meh. Really? We need a safety, a wide receiver, a tight end, a tackle and we take someone who is a reach at tackle and perhaps a decent guard.
