Problem with Gordon is the Patriots would drive up the price and two he is one strike from missing a year.

I have been thinking the Lions would start utilizing Scheffler/Fauria in the slot and that is my guess for a short term fix.

Their are a few rookies out on practice squad the Lions could poach or maybe Fuller from Detroit's squad. The bottom line is whoever it is Stafford will need to make that guy look good and be a Brady/Brees type QB that makes average guys look like #1 receivers.

Generally when the brass is calling a guy a project immediately after the draft we shouldn't be expecting immediate returns from said player. I don't think Fuller was drafted with the intention that he'd be a big contributor in 2013...
