From the standpoint of expected record, 2012 was a fluke: the Orioles overperformed by 11 games. On the other hand, the 2013 Orioles are exactly where they should be-- that's regression to the mean for you.

Translation: This team needs to get better at drafting and developing players... and maybe spend more on the right players. Otherwise, 4th place in the AL East could be its place for a while.
