Just totally lost right now. Such a huge disappointment in that performance or lack of today. Definitely need some coaching moves and this might not bode well with some but Maybe it's time to give OZ a shot next yr. The pieces were their for Peyton and if he couldn't get us there to at least the Arc championship then some serious consideration by Elway to make some bold moves needs to happen. It's time for change in the staff and maybe the Qb as well. Sorry, just totally bummed at the effort today as I'm sure everybody is as well. I hope nobody comes back with " let's not panic". It's at least time to reevaluate in a big way.:gaah:

3 years ago I wanted this staff gone. Mostly J.D.R. and Manning looks weaker every game. Give the Colts credit for stopping the Broncos short passing game. I agree a lot of changes have to be made. I'll be honest I didn't think they had a shot in hell in New England but to lose at home to a Colts teams with a below average o line and no running game all year and an average defense at best is just sad.

Most of the team didn't show up, and you have to credit the Colts for playing great. Luck was great, their OL was great and their secondary was great. But I was very disturbed by how poorly Manning played. The lack of accuracy was terrible, but I was even more bothered by him him not running for that 1st down on the 1st possession of the 2nd half. 3rd and 5 and he had the WHOLE field ahead of him. There wasn't a defender within a mile. He didn't even have to run, he could have WALKED to the 1st down. I'm sorry but he played just like a WOMEN there. I don't think I've ever seen a QB pass up that easy of a 1st down, even QBs that never run. Even Kyle Orton would have taken that 1st down. That play showed a lack of HEART by Manning. I think we're seeing why he only won 1 super bowl despite a ton of playoff appearances. The greatest regular season QB of all time but a very mediocre playoff record. Manning just isn't a clutch player. Aaron Rodgers was playing on 1 leg today but Manning refused to WALK 5 freaking yards for the critical 1st down. Makes me SICK. It's time to move onto another QB that plays like a MAN.

That was just a totally inexcusable play on his part. We could've kept that drive alive, but instead gave it right back to Luck and they went down the field for 6.

Just an all around crap performance from Manning.

Hey I get it. Ugly loss and devastating way to end the season. Of course, the season ends in devastation for 31 teams. I'm not aligned with Broncos fans that are crying for blowing things up, getting new coaches, going to Osweiller, etc. Talk about complete over-reaction IMO.

The Broncos just won the West for the 3rd straight year and last year they represented the AFC in the Superbowl. Our defense was ranked 3rd in the NFL this year. Do all you "blow it all up" fans really understand how hard it is to succeed in the NFL today?

I'm as disappointed as everyone but the NFL is entertainment for me and I've really enjoyed being a Broncos fan the last 3 years. I'm proud of this team and how they've represented my city of Denver. Be careful what you wish for because when most fans that scream for a re-build get it, they're sorely disappointed for a decade.

Obviously tough decisions will need to be made but rather than taking the easy route and spearing everyone with pitchforks, I'll take the route of enjoying what they've done this season and start to rationally think about the future when my emotions are under control.

If Denver had come into the game playing well and Manning was playing well and the team just laid an egg, I don't think we'd be screaming for a rebuild. However, Manning looked like ass, the offensive line looked like ass, and the coaching staff has been questionable for, at least, the last 7 weeks. That's a much clearer indication of the direction the team is headed. As many former players have said, the cliff for a QB isn't gradual. If you don't believe that, go take a look at Brett Farve.

When it comes to the coaching staff, Del Rio sucks. Plain and simple. Fox is too conservative, terrible at clock management, and terrible at making in game adjustments. Gase is a product of Manning in the same way that McDaniels was a product of Brady. That's not to say that Gase can't develop into a decent play caller because McDaniels has, he just is overrated right now.

Here's the issue. If you bring in a new head coach, you have to part ways with Manning or you have to bring in a guy that has a winning pedigree like Jon Gruden or Brian Billick. It's unfair to bring in a new head coach and saddle him with Super Bowl aspirations. Personally, I think Fox needs to go.

Changes need to be made. I personally would love for us to explore HC options, and at the very least, let Oz compete for the starting spot next year.

3 years? Really? When I say credibility is out the window, I mean you've wound up and chucked it out like an Aroldis Chapman fastball.

Doc, you know better than that. I've been a Broncos fan since the 70's and damn proud of it. My point was obviously that we've had a good run in the last 3 years as AFCW champs. I'm referring to the Broncos seasons right before Manning. Don't put salt in the fresh wounds that I'm already dealing with, please.

Dude.....I'm sorry. I misunderstood what you said, and tried to revise it, but it was too late. No offense to you. I know you've been around a long time......after I looked at the MH64 I knew I was off.

Just flustered right now I guess. No hard feelings.

MH64, I think you may be reading too much into people's reactions when you say they are overreacting. Im not seeing anybody overreact. This team needs some major changes. Not because we are terrible (we're not), but because this team, as currently constructed, is not going to win a Super Bowl.

We don't need a lot of changes, just a few big changes.

Hi MH64. It`s great you enjoy NFL entertainment,we all do. But just getting to playoffs and bowing out in your first game in such terrible fashion and being ok with it isn`t what bonifide fans of any team are satisified with. No true fan would even post that comment on any board. It`s not how you get to the playoffs that matter it`s what you do once you get there. I`ll just take that post as your just a rookie and only 3 yrs as a Bronco fan make explain those comments. It`s ok, no malice intended, but your just a tad green when it comes to your team and your expectations. It`s SB or bust for every real fan, every player and every coach and it`s been that way since the dawn of the NFL buddy. PS. just got the 3yr oops but regardless, you can`t possibly really be ok with "entertainment" results as a fan

No biggie Doc. We're all pretty disappointed and pissed of right now. I get it. You've always been a respectful and reasonable poster. That's why I was surprised. I should have known it was mistake.

Any way.....what a tough night.

But what good does bringing back people we know are causing our problems rather than fixing them? So we can talk about winning the AFC West again next year only for us to lose in the playoffs yet again? Honestly we don't have what it takes to win a SB with these coaches. And I'd rather start building ahead for the future than going through all this next year and being in the same boat we are now. At least Brock would have an extra year to learn as the starter with our new HC.

And let's not forget Brock is only signed for 1 or 2 more years so what happens if we stick with Manning and Brock decides he wants to try and start for someone else? Then we're stuck with no Manning and no QB of the future because we let ours walk.

Now Brock may not be the answer but I'd prefer to find out now rather than wait for him to not re-sign because we never gave him shot.

Yeah, you could be right. I just get frustrated with the "blow it all up" sentiment after a tough loss. They could be right in general but it's just not how I react to a rough loss like that. I try to remember how much worse it is for 28 other teams in the league. I guess that's just my way of dealing with my disappointment.

Unfortunately, we'll have an entire off-season to discuss our opinions on what the Broncos should do....:gaah:

Obviously, my reaction to this loss and how I deal with my own personal disappointment has created a bit of a stir on this board. For that, I apologize. I guess I should have kept my mouth shut.

However randymon, please don't refer to me as anything less than a bonafide fan. I've been pulling for the Broncos since the early 70's, I live in Denver and have been a fan my whole life. I was simply referring to my own belief that sometimes fan bases get spoiled and I tend to try and appreciate how good my favorite team has been the last 3 years. Of course I want the Broncos to win the Superbowl but because I'm not ready to pitch the current Broncos over a cliff, makes me no less of a fan than you are.

I'm not a rookie to these boards and wasn't a rookie to the CBS or ESPN boards prior to that. Be careful to assume. Calling me green as a fan and a rookie with my expectations is just laughable.

Look were all super bummed and shell-shocked no doubt. Especially me right now and apologize for jumping MH64`s bones but if you don`t see that having a "nice" last 3 yr run and not getting a SB is "really neat", then I don`t know what to say. This is/was prob the last shot under Manning to achieve that and now many of us are faceing the reality that isn`t going to happen and tere is def reason to be worried and less hopeful after today as far as that happening now with Manning. Now we have to be concerned if OZ can deliver, otherwise. you know how hard it is to find a "elite QB" in this league and if Manning can`t do it and Oz doesn`t pan out.....that sets a team back drastically no matter how good the other pieces are. I want to still be alive to see another SB victory for Denver so yea, I will panic a tad based on my age and their performance today.:)

Playing last week would have just meant Denver would be out a week sooner.
