On the ESPN board, clearly the Pats had the largest posting fan base. No problem with that. As the years went by, a lot of them became favorite posters for me. But what about here?

Might as well figure out whose teams not to dis if I don't want the roof to fall in.

Well, you would expect the Squeelers and Packer fans. While I realize that Pittsburgh has a great coaching staff and front office, I expect them to be in a decline for a while.

I think there were probably a relatively large number of pats fans on the espn board and I expect that to be true here as it would be for any team that has been pretty succesful over a number of years.

But one thing I have noticed is that the constant trolling of the pats doesn't happen as often here (at least yet) so you don't see a fraction of the threads about the pats that you saw on the espn board. I am not saying that some pats fans didn't contribute to the constant barrage, but the overwhelming majority of threads were by trolls with pats fans jumping in to feed the fire. I began to smarten up in the last couple of years but I can't say I never fell into the trap.

The biggest fan bases right now, I would say are Niners, Seahawks, Lions, Redskins, Stillers, Bengals, Pats, Rams.

Before the surge of new ESPNers, the Niners board had the most. But I thought everyone else was pretty well represented though some teams lacked a lot of support (Titans ). Now there seems to be a lot more Skins, Hawks, and a few extras. Great job to GoldenSpur and anyone else who posted ads luring guys over.

The 49ers' board has more posts than all of the other 31 teams combined.

The Bengals are in 2nd place with less than 1/3 of the posts the Niners' board has. I don't think there's any question what the dominant SportsHoopla fan base is.

Basically all of the team boards outside of the Niners board started after CBS shut down so its not really a comparison, atm. Lets wait until the season starts.

I'm saying there is a disconnect between the number of Niners posters and the number of posts you have in say..the NFC West thread.
