OMG. Just listened to a portion of Ron’s press conference. It was all I could take. He was just rambling. He is dead man walking. He knows it and doesn’t care.
That's the problem i had with keeping him around. The team players know this as well. He should have been let go with JDR. This is absurd. Poor showing by Harris & Co. I can no longer listen to Rivera interviews.

I don’t see what Harris could do. Who do you replace him with?

I don't bother with coach or player interviews at this point. Just waiting for the year to end

Rivera and staff will be fired at years end. Replace him now with EB to finish the season. See how the team reacts to EB for the remaining games giving him fair and reasonable time to show all his intangibles as the HC and leader of young men. Ron remains in charge so its Ron's show, not EB's. Actually, Rivera has shown nothing in 4 years.

Would be a worse train wreck and unfair to make EB the interim coach of this team. Definitely would be setting him up for failure. He’s in his first year of trying to be a play calling O coordinator. He should decline if they asked him too

In other words: just like skinsdad and others said, drafting a stick figure to be a number one cb was a mistake because he’ll definitely get injured going against the big boys.

I wasnt so sure, and I was wrong.

Hats off to you skinsdad, et al.

Fuck. I to was hopeful n wrong when it came to Forbes.

Lots of players much bigger than Forbes get injured. Writing the guy off already is sort of silly.

While this is true, what I believe is also true is that very few players who are Forbes’s size avoid injury in the nfl.

I dont think anyone is writing him off, but I sure hope he bulks up over the offseason.

Has nothing to do with injury. His on the field performance was the overriding issue, not injury.

Forbes size may not have caused his injury, but it has limited his ability to cover the AJ Browns in the NFL. The big, strong receivers, he can’t hang with. they physically man handle him. No way Forbes can bump him at the line without ending on his ass. the Kid needs to add 20 lbs this off season.

I still think he was the wrong pick. Thank goodness Rivera didn't trade up to draft him and give up unnecessary draft capital to draft this guy.

Rivera is literally the worst gm in the league currently.

i criticized the pick early and often calling him stick figure . that being said lets see what he has in yr 2 with a different scheme . i will say that we didnt get VALUE for that pick and that is my biggest take

Right.
I am not saying he is a bust or giving up on him.
I criticized the strategy of rivera and if we went cb, we got the wrong cb.
I think Forbes will be an average nfl starter.
Nothing wrong with that.
I just wasn't jumping up and down like Dean and pegged Forbes as the savior of the secondary.

All I heard was Forbes pick 6s and how he was going to take the nfl by storm. I never bought into that personally.

I support Forbes and hope he takes a step up next year.
