Sandard scoring on ESPN. I have done a ton of ten team drafts, but was wondering if there is that big of a difference between planning for a 12 team then a 10 team. I am guessing that rbs are even more valuable?

You guess correct. Position scarcity comes into play much more. And depth on the bench is often very thin. You'll be looking at guys you wouldn't even consider before

I've participated in one so far and watched another and I can let you know, if you don't take an RB in the first round you absolutely have to take 1 in the second because the drop is insanely severe. To the point where I started stockpiling receivers with the hopes of trading for an RB because there was nothing left.

I'll learn what pick I have in two hours, but I'm hoping for a mid round pick so I can grab Calvin in the first and ball in the second. Does anyone think ball may go much sooner because everyone in the league will want a top rb?

Have to agree with this. I did one start up this year and it really falls off a cliff. I decided to setup my QB's in the league due to superflex rules. But now I wish I would have taken a RB earlier than I did. Now i'm looking at the likes of Vereen, Mathews, Moreno, Michael with Sims stashed as my RB core. Scary stuff lol. :noidea:

He will if there's a savvy player anywhere past 5 or six., or in the case of the MBBRL, anywhere after #1.

Well I got pick 6. If one of the top 4 slip to me, I'm taking them, if not I'm taking Calvin. If he's not there, lacy. Good strategy?

I'm taking Ball personally, but Lacy over Calvin for me, especially with 12 teams. RB's thin out awfully fast

Same situation here but I think Vereen will surprise people this year if he doesn't get hurt. If he hadn't broken his wrist in week 1 he most likely have been the Pats starter for most of the year.

Well, I ended up with a pretty solid team. Here is what I got....

QB Brady, Rivers
RB Forte, Ball, Rice, Fred Jackson
WR Nelson, White, Welker, Evans, Britt, randle, Hawkins
TE Gates
D/ST Rams
K Novak

Rivers has the same bye as Brady (week 10), and you don't really need a back up until then anyway. Ball in the middle second ... well, you know how I feel about that. Not sure if I'd have so many WR, and not as many stabs at a late RB... Gates is a question, but can certainly be a TE1. Jordy and Rowdy Roddy are excellent choices!

Ill just get someone else to play in the by. I like taking two of Cutler, Brady, Rivers, Ryan, and Romo and choose match ups. If Brady returns to one of the elite qbs, I can use Rivers as trade bait.

Do you think James White would be a good pick up?

Nope. I've said elsewhere, I don't know where the hype comes with that guy. I'd rather stab at JStew, Bradshaw, or even Alfred Blue.

All are taken. Grimes is still available though.

Grimes is worth keeping an eye on, although if Arian goes down, it might be a timeshare with Blue. Another guy worth watching, imo, is Lance Dunbar. Needs a little more work on pass-blocking, but has potential to be a factor if anything happens to Murray.
