I still do not consider the LAD out of the Hamilton sweepstakes. It obvious that they are trying to make a statement.

Until the come out and say "no more spending"... I wouldnt consider them out on anyone. (Grienke, Hamilton, etc)

That the Trade the Dodgers made with Red Sox shocked the Baseball World. But from a Red Sox Perspective the Deal had to be made if All Possible. Theor Clubhouse was a Disaster. The Team had Quit on Bobby Valentine. In fact the Team Quit on Terry Francona Last September. It remains to be seen if this puts the Dodgers in the World Series. Remember the Movie Miracle on Ice with Kurt Russell Playing Coach Brooks the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Coach. He said something that really applies to the Red Sox Situation in a Way. Russell Playing Brooks said "I don't want the Best Players" "I want the Right Players". On Paper the Red Sox looked like they were ready to take on the 1927 Yankees. In the Clubhouse and On the Field, A Complete Disaster.

Wonder when LAA is going to realize that names don't always result in pennants?

Right now it looks like a marketing and media duel between the teams in Los Angeles and Orange Counties as to who can sign the most names. Just like their state ... they think there is no end to the money.

Interesting thing regarding the Angels is that their season attendance is actually down from last year. looks like they will not draw 3 Million this year. But your right both the Dodgers and Angels are in a Real Battle to who can sign the Biggest names. Really Crazy what going on in LA with both Franchises.
