Damn this sucks. Not only do I love Doc, the Devils backup announcer is horrific. He has that phony, generic announcer voice where you can just tell he's trying way too hard. Looks like I'll be playing music during the games.

If the Jets dont get keep the same announcers I hope Versus grabs Darren Eliot.

I like Doc too, but I was hoping Dave Strader was going to be the main guy. Now if they could get Chris Cuthbert I'd be a happy camper.

I think Mr. Resch should take over the play by play duties - kind of like Vin Scully does for the Dodgers in a one man booth.

His sthick could be he's Glenn Resch when doing the play by play, but he's Chico when doing the color commentary. He could have conversations with himself and confuse Stan Fischler between periods when he's around. Win win for all involved.

Also, if Zach Parise misses any games this upcoming season, they should have him in the booth - he seems pretty polished behind the mic.

I think Chico in a One Man Booth would be GREAT! Of course Devils fans wouldn't really know what the hell was going on during the game because Chico would be too busy rambling on about something else. Most notably FOOD.

If the Devils want Howie Rose they can have him. At least Howie won't be talking about baseball before Christmas like he did last year.
