Do we even have one rookie signed yet? I have seen teams that have signed 6 to 7 picks already. I was watching rookie minicamp schedules on NFL Network and only Cincinnati and New York Giants have NONE scheduled. What is that crap about?

PS..I need more convo here, I have been getting bored lately because I am finding little desire to talk about the Reds at this point in the season.

This board has been dead for a while...

That being said, not sure what the hell they are waiting on. I'm sure we don't have the cap space for the rookies after our grandiose spending spree in free agency.

There's nothing to talk about. It's May. We're the Bengals.

The Bengals are only 1 of 2 teams that aren't having a rookie camp..... Mike was out of Marriott points, so he's going without this year.

No reason for agents to worry about draft picks that aren't practicing...... All picks will be signed before training camp. There is no reason to hold out under the new rookie wage scale.

Isn't it funny for a team that likes to "build through the draft" to not hold a rookie DRAFT PICK camp?!

I find it hilarious.

Carry on.

Marvin loathes playing rookies and he doesn't want AJ to have a chance to learn and show he's better than Dalton

by holding out he's forcing them to get loans and make payments so that they will be more amenable to the low ball offers they are going to get for being drafted by the Bengals. even if he only saves a penny, scrooge McDuck will go through much effort to stay at that 89% of the spending cap.

NO rookie mini camp?? Christ it's so egregiously obvious these clowns do not care. Why does the NFL allow this team to exist? Just move them to London already and end the nightmare.

Seriously flawed organization. I also hate they moved from Georgetown to downtown Cincy for camp. I really enjoyed going up and watching the practices at the College. I had thought we were starting to leave the days of Cheap Mike Brown, what the hell was I thinking.

I agree that I enjoyed G-town better, but with all the down-time now that is forced by the recent CBA, it makes total sense to stay at PBS where they have access to everything they need. They are restricted from physical practice by limitations, so they need all the off-field advantages they can get, and they just weren't going to get that at G-town.

Makes sense. I forgot about the CBA on camps. I had always thought it was more about cost and bringing more revenue to the city.

I haven't been to PBS for camp. Is it fairly accessible for fans to get to interact with the players like G-town was? I have several footballs autographed from many players over the years. All of them were from going up to the college during camp. Thinking of going up this season and see how it is.

I've heard that the PBS camp is awesome -- Particularly when they schedule open practices around Reds games allowing one to go to PBS, hit the banks for some beers, and then catch an evening ballgame. Pretty good sports day.
