Don't think you'll see Talib this week. Same goes for Dennard and maybe Arrington. Peyton should have a field day. Even if Welker or J.Thomas does not play, Decker and DT should torch Cole and Ryan.

Dang, that is a rough slate of injuries. Did Talib reinjure his hip last night?

Lol plus mayo, Wilfork, Gregory, tommy Kelly. It's a lot of starters.

Injuries aren't an excuse though. We need a win.

Injuries are what they are. Everybody gets them, and no one feels sorry for you. It sucks but you've got to win with who can play.

While I'd obviously like the Broncos to win, with the Patriots loss last night this game isn't nearly as important. We can afford to drop this one as long as we beat the Chiefs the next week.

Depends on what happens in the rest of the games.

Well obviously. But as far as the Broncos are concerned, with the loss by the Patriots the importance of winning this game goes way down. You could lose it and win the rest and you've got home field. If you win this and lose to the Chiefs you need help, even if you win all of the rest of the games.

I am thinking that with another week for his ankle to heal, Peyton is going to be full force again. The Bronco defense is not exactly shabby either. Certainly not a lock in Foxboro, but I think Denver wins this one.

Agree with all of that. It's been a long time since we've won there, too, so I'm especially looking forward to hopefully ending that streak!

As obvious as it is that Trevor Pryce wasn't as good his rookie year as he was in subsequent seasons?

Are you really bringing our disagreement from another thread into this one that's a completely different topic? Don't act like a child.

They said he was out at the end of game because his hip was bothering him. At this rate, not worth him playing. We have no shot at home field. Just try and get into the playoffs healthy and see what happens from there.

Ok wise guy.

Yeah, that is pretty obvious to a guy like me who knows that Pryce wasn't a stud right out of the gate.

Only reason right now to play him is understanding there is a fight for that extra bye in the playoffs. I still think the Pats could take a loss on Sunday and get the spot as I see Indy falling off here some at the end of the season.

I have also noticed that Smith seems to talk a lot of trash. Personally, I've always felt that my attitude about a guy talking trash depends quite a bit on whether he plays for the team that I root for, though I realize that that is hypocritical.

When I was a kid, Tom Jackson was the first player who I ever noticed as a big time trash talker. TJ also backed it up on the field. Like Smith, #57 was kind of undersized, and watching him play just fired me up.

Mine does too. I like it but when they're an at it and not on my team.

If they're on my team I don't mind them as long as they don't hurt the team. Talib did but this is a longtime rivalry so I'll get over it.

:laugh3:

Just sounds like someone is a little sore from last night

The irony!
You call him a little sore, yet here you are trying to get over on him, riding the coattails of the Panthers receiver.

Steve Smith has earned the right to trash talk. People forget, that at the start if his career he was viewed as nothing more than a return man and not much else. He was told he was too short to play WR. HE PROVED THEM ALL WRONG. Smith knows how to get into the heads of defenders and uses it to his advantage. He also shows lots of respect to those who have earned it. Watch Carolina vs Tampa, he and Darrelle Revis both talked a lot of smack but they both accept it as part of the game. The smartest thing a CB defending Smith can do is let Smith talk and keep his own mouth shut. If you can stop Smith, you will earn his respect.
