No way Campbell ignores this one. Devorski has to get a suspension (do refs get suspended?). Also of note: the Wild had seven PP's in the game. The Blue Jackets had none. I didn't see the game, but that's pretty unusual.

skimmed through the game I had DVR'd. Saw the high stick, it happened around the 14:00 minute mark of the 3rd. game went to commercial break, when it came back, you could see Devorski standing by Theodore and he was facing the section where the irate fans were. You could see his arm making motions similar to what the fans were claiming. Seems like a legit complaint.

There was video evidence of Auger chatting with Burrows in the pre-game skate, Boss. Of course, you're right that we will never truly know what was said between the two (thus, the he said, she said)

I think he will get suspended, but they won't announce it. Double secret probation. They may say that it is being looked at and the correct response will be taken. Or these matters are taken seriously.

This is why I could never be an NHL ref. I would be flipping all of you guys off all the time. 5 on 3 would be common place if the fans started yelling at me. That would teach you to keep your pie holes shut.

Wow! I would love to see the video for this. Hard to believe a guy that's been in the business for so long would do something like that. I guess there are 2 sides to every story and these guys are human as well and on occasion can behave irrationally. I don't think he will get penalized to the same extent that a rookie ref would, or a guy with a history of doing that kind of stuff, but hopefully if there is strong evidence that it did happen, he'll at least get something. But lets be realistic, it is kind of funny and no doubt totally added to the excitement of the game for those fans. At least he was subtle while giving the finger so kids wouldn't recognize it.

Or at least no more games in Columbus. Not necessarily sure there would be any problem with him officiating a Columbus road game since the problem was with the fans, not so much the team.

Was Devorski the one that got all excited when video replay showed Dallas scored a goal in a Stars/Sharks game earlier this year (I know Dash was watching that game when it happened). For some reason I'm thinking that it was him. Looks like he's starting to lose it a bit. I'll save a fake crying face for Devorski when he decides to hang em up.
