I know I am in the minority around here because I don't mind Zids, but do others agree that he is one of the better players out there tonight?
On our team, he has the best offensive instincts for any defenseman in the lineup.

I have no problems with him.

On the plus side Brunner looked ridiculous. Aside from his 2 goals he was all over the place on offense.

We should have won this game in regulation. And yes, Brunner has been our best player by far in our first two contests.

this is the type of game the devils need to win to stay in the race this year. they wont get many odd man rushes so it's nice to see them score 3 goals. which is why they should've won this game. getting 3 out of these guys might be tough.


whats up with all the breakways and the odd man rushes? there were about 3 or 4 2on1's against pitt. i dont know how many breakaways last night maybe 4?

Agreed, the D letting players get behind them is a serious issue. You can't control play the way we did and wind up losing that game. As much as I like getting offense out of our D it's not worth it to have them pinching and getting caught or stepping up in the neutral zone to attempt a poke check and whiffing.

I really wanted to see some fresh faces on defense coming into this season. I don't really have a problem with any certain individual, but just wanted to see new or younger players. Its the same group pretty much.
Peter Harrold should not be getting top minutes in OT or any power play time. Nothing against him but lets be real.

i really dont get it we know what harrold can and cant do. i much rather have kept urbom given him less mins and work himself into getting the more important situations of the game. instead we have the same d as last year and the year before minus tallendar. heck i think this is the same d for the past 3 years?

Our Defense stinks. Out of 6 goals we let up the D gave the puck up 4 of those 6 goals.

Im convinced we need to do with Zids what San Jose did with Brent Burns..move his ass to forward.

His D was scary bad last night and Grabner could've had 4 goals if not for some Marty magic.

Harrold was more then solid.
