1 way means he'll likely be on the NHL roster. I didn't think he got a fair shot last year. 4 games, he didn't look terrible in any of them. We've said it before, he has the tools. He has speed, hands, hopefully the extra year in the AHL allowed him to develop his game mentally. If this guy can start using his small frame and speed to draw penalties and sneak around defenders I still think he can be a productive player.
Lou said it when they sent him back down, he's so close to clicking but he needs to get that consistency. He just needs to figure out that it's not 100% full speed all the time, but knowing when to use it. He was really lighting it up in the AHL just before the lockout ended. Maybe we weren't converting, but it seemed to me that we were getting way more offensive opportunities with him and JJ early in the season. Hopefully a full training camp with PDB will help him get in good with the coach.
