suffice to say, the kids have won babcock over

Our team is way better because we've got kids and they've won jobs and they're going to keep jobs," Babcock said. "We're way quicker and way harder, we're a more physical team. I like us."

And to think it all started when Mike Illitch made the smartest hockey decision of his life. He hired Jimmy Develano to be his teams GM. THE REST IS HISTORY. Congrats Wings fans!! Enjoy the playoffs again!!

Of course the main reason they kept their playoff streak alive is because they moved to the bug conference.

/wake up little snoozy
//give your head a shake. if it falls off, kick it.

///just getting into playoff mode, ignore me (lol)

Babcock is kinda like the early 90s Buffalo Bills. Very good for a long time, but never the best in any given year with other guys moving up and down a lot more.

For instance, this year he could get a nomination, but I'd be shocked if anyone other than Roy wins it. Going from 2nd last place overall to 109 points (and counting) and still having an outside shot at the 1st seed in the west. That's going to be a high bar to overcome.

I was thinking about other candidates last night and I came to the same conclusion. With the drastic rise in the standings I think it has to be Roy. But I still think that Babcock should get a nomination, he did a hell of a job this season.
