He'd have a much better chance of trying to win a Cup with Ottawa they said.

I think that Babcock should get consideration this year. Detroit more than their fare share of injuries and still made the playoffs in a new conference.

Players have to wait until they're 40 to crack the starting lineup. It only follows that our coach and executive have to wait until they turn 80 before they get consideration for those awards.

Babcock is kinda like the early 90s Buffalo Bills. Very good for a long time, but never the best in any given year with other guys moving up and down a lot more.

For instance, this year he could get a nomination, but I'd be shocked if anyone other than Roy wins it. Going from 2nd last place overall to 109 points (and counting) and still having an outside shot at the 1st seed in the west. That's going to be a high bar to overcome.
