The Hawks' advantage of having the last change gave them a definite advantage in this one, which they will have again, if the series goes to 7 games, making the next game at the Joe as close to a must win as you can get. Those matchup s disadvantages on the defensive side, along with a few costly situations where a couple of players missed their assignments, costing us on the scoresheet. But, if we lose Kronwall, that will be a huge loss, since it would move someone up a pairing, and add someone who has been sitting during this series.

Hawks played better and deserve the win. I thought the reffing was a little shot; too inconsistent. Hopefully we come out and skate strong in game 6. I won't be too worried unless there is a game 7.

I thought the refs called less ticky tack crap and let them play but they did miss a couple obvious ones.

I also didn't like rewarding Bolland for his cheapie on Dats

What I just do not understand, even though you know that the Hawks would play with desperation, so they would give us their best effort; but, you have a 3-1 series lead going into this game, and to play by not controlling the play in the neutral zone, and sit back on your heels and let them come at you instead, shows what a memory loss problem these guys have. Shit! You take it to them in the previous 2 games, but you believe that if you pull out the lawn chairs, the Hawks will just fold up on us and blow away? Now, by playing a game like this today, you've not only left your goal tender out to dry, but you have allowed every single Hawks player to get their needed shot of confidence for the next game. That alone just may have written the death sentence, especially if Kroner is unavailable the rest of the way. What a freakin' disappointment.
