I must not know him. I can't think of any Fielder's besides Cecil and Prince

Wow, I knew of him. Like literally just knew that someone named Cecil Cooper played in MLB. But I knew nothing about him. This game teaches you so much!!!

  • 3-time Silver Slugger winner (1989, 1991, 1992)
  • He was recognized for having an unusual batting stance: he stood almost straight up at the plate, holding his bat horizontal and bending only when the pitcher began his delivery
  • Unfortunately was a fag and used chewing tobacco during games. Real baseball players use dipping tobacco
  • At the time of his retirement, he ranked eighth all time in home runs by a switch-hitter
  • He led the American League in 1992 with 122 walks and finished in the top ten in six other seasons, including second three times
  • His .821 OBP is 11th highest all time among major league catchers

Yeah, some guys that are just good and never really break through with an MVP or World Series win just go unnoticed. If he was walking out in the woods with Harold Baines and they both fell over I'm not sure it would make a sound.

This guy's best season was in '91, when he hit .263/.387/.491 with a 140 wRC+ and a 5.6 WAR
