Name the player who once came to the plate wearing a Beatles wig.
I remember Schmidt going out to first base wearing an afro wig and sunglasses one time after he badmouthed the Phillies fans in an interview in Montreal. That was way before the internet but somehow the word got out.
That was before he became the cranky old man that you hear on Sundays now.

Did he have Tourettes?
No he did not. That was Eisenrich. Here is another clue. He would often Mimic other players during the game.
he interacted with the fans. Some called him insane. Somehow he managed to have a long career.

Not him. I thought this was going to be easy. Another clue. A team in the American league once padded the right field wall for him so he would not get hurt. He would stop at nothing to track a ball down. Also he was a very good fielder.

It Is! He only played one season in the National league. In a game against the Phillies he hit a Homer
and ran the bases backwards. (Facing backwards.) Afterwards he was fired. Jimmy had a weird sense of humor!

What the fuck are us four all doing up at midnight guessing players who played in the 1950s. Don't we have wives who are going to wake us at 7 tomorrow for church or something?

I knew I should have ponied up for the faster internet connection
At least you didn't answer "Jose Canseco" when a part of the description included "good defense"

I've completely Isolated myself from everything. I am so obsessed with the baseball guessing game I have moved into the bomb shelter in the back yard. I have enough food to last at least until the Phillies get back to .500, which could be several years.
