I think we have enough biased opinions.

At some point you just have to be honest and not always tow the company line.

I think plenty of Yankee fans understand that he probably shouldn't have played SS all those years, but the majority of them still insist that he should have.

A-Rod should have been there from Day 1.

Jeter to DSH

Jeter to DSH

Also thought it was very selfish of Jeter to have his number retiring on Mother's Day, when he knew lots of his former teammates (like A-Rod) wouldn't be in attendance because they love their moms.

He just couldn't share the spotlight.

He had to make sure it was an ESPN game

He has always been a media whore.

I once got banned from CBS for saying he was the product of r*pe, since his mom is white.

Where would you rank Jeter all time for shortstops?

Take his defense into account then. Overall, where would you rank him?

Somewhere behind Ripken, Trammell, Larkin, A-Rod

Yankees do just as well with any of those in Jeter's place.

Well you think more highly of him than I do. I would have him clearly behind those guys.

Those were just the ones off the top of my head

He is easily the most overrated player of his generation.

Quite possibly true. I think he's a top 10 (probably have him around 7) all time Yankees. Considering their history, that's a great achievement and will vault him over a lot of better players in some people's minds.

Very very few sports pro's has had his ass kissed by the media from begging to end like they have with Jeter.
And yet he felt this need to stick it to the media by the starting the Players Tribune.

I will never shed a tear for the media but it's an insight to who he is.

As time goes on you see more & more that Jeter is a selfish prick.

Think the moment he refused to move to third after the Arod trade probably told everyone all they needed to know.

Everybody outside of NY, anyway

Except for maybe a handful of people.

jeter had 3465 hits

if you take away the HRs, doubles and triples...he had 2595 singles.

75% of jeters hits were singles.
