Tell ya what he looks a lot better on paper as a 5th Dman behind Weber , Jones , Ellis and Josi then he did as a 3/4 around what the Rags have. Maybe getting outta the NY spotlight will help him too.

But still a bad return for him. He still is 23. Imagine trading away Larsson for that type of return in 3 years?

mdz has a lot more upside then klien ever had or will.

23 compared to a 30 year old. mdz might be bad on the defense end but you know what i want a puck mover that can have a chance to score. mdz can fit that role probably now that he is out of nyc.

He is not the first young player that was hyped up early on and then ruined by NY, eventually shipped out of town.

His value was high once, but for what I think is confidence reasons, he just couldn't get it together for the Rangers.

I can see him resurrecting his career at Nashville.

DZ handled his rookie year fine, 37 points. Miller and as well as Kreider did also, Torts mishandled these guys. DZ diminished his own value.

He also said the media would screw Hank out of the Vezina in 2012 even tho the GM's vote for the Vezina.

Ha! I remember this. He called Blackburn a sure shot hall of famer if he never got injured. We all laughed at him and he got pissed as hell. I really think that he might actually be Dan Blackburn in real life. I never met anybody stick up for a player like that.
He also said Prucha would be better than Parise. Lots of examples, can't think of them now.
