Defense Will Get Rest as Long as We have Long Drives

Like the 11 play drive against the jets....My concerns are how many 3 and outs we will have in between....

I dont understand why we didnt even call Brian Waters....Not even a peep in interest...instant upgrade sitting at home....

The line played better against the Jets, so we'll have to see which is the real line. I'd still prefer an upgrade over Livings though.

You can't put that much pressure on the defense right from the get-go.

Yes. If Dalton could go 2 drives without a pick, and the damn returners could hold onto the ball it would be a different story.

Good point....the key was getting a guy to sit down at the dinner table with Andre....mission accomplished......

I think they will run the ball more when the season starts. The pre-season is about getting as many attempts for Dalton as he can handle to work on everything they can, but once the season starts, it's going to be a lot of Ced to the left, Ced to the right, ced up the middle....

Granted teams are going to start throwing 8 and 9 in the box to stop this...so that's when Dalton will get his true test. Hard to see right now with so much plain defense going on what will really happen when live bullets start flying, and when they start running the ball more.

If we can just get Ced to hold onto the ball, I won't mind him getting stopped so much.....our secondary (and some weeks primary) goal should be to punt the ball....that's the only thing we are doing really well these days....
