Find me the stat that shows "Times Marty and Moose bailed somebody out after a bonehead play", "chased a player behind his own net leaving the middle wide open" and "going out of position to cover a guy that is already covered". Pretty sure he's at or near the top of all those categories.

Look, we all know Marty would still be great if the NHL didnt change the rules to handcuff him :)

You're obviously going to hate him no mater what the objective evidence is. My information is extrapolated from the largest possible sample size. Your opinion is obviously based off individual incidents. What I posted shows that despite the mistakes you're referencing, in the long run Fayne is an asset.

That site annoys me so much... They make talking hockey boring. I'd follow baseball religiously if I cared about those crazy obscure stats.

I don't give a shit what Marty's save percentage is between the 10:00 and 15:00 minute mark under the condition that a defensive zone faceoff occurred within a minute.

I love stats, because they're pretty much always truthful, probably a big why baseball is my favorite sport

Agreed: Opinions are subjective, stats are objective. It's pretty crazy how much stats have changed baseball over the last decade.

Baseball is definitely the thinking mans' sport with hockey a very close 2nd. If anything, hockey is alot more mental because all the different options have to be thought about quickly all the time as apposed to baseball where, even though you're always thinking, you only have to think quickly the 2nd the ball is put in to play.
