Beckman tells BTN crew after the game "huh, something you got to understand....we outplayed them and beat them in the second half. I know it wasn't the (air quote) same game (air quote) but I'm really impressed with our players."

Then things get really ugly...

"I am thinking I start O'Toole at Qb, and third string at evry position. Keep staters fresh and healthy for next game. It won't happen, but that is actually the best startegy since this game is absolutely unimportant come the end of the season. "

Then back to just depressing..

" Game is over by halftime. The fourth quarter is used to give second-stringers from both teams some reps.

Then a feasible worst nightmare for Nebraska...

Well they're Illinois. They haven't even been slightly relevant since that juice box guy was their
qb. It should be 42-7 at the half

if Beckman is even a mediocre coach, I think they get 2 TDs in the first half. Our pass defense has been mediocre at best, so Lunt can take advantage of that.

i agree though, their defense can't stop anything, so we should be scoring TDs and be up 2 or 3 scores at half, but I don't think there is anyway we hold them to 7 at halftime.
