Why didn't this guy grow a beard a long time ago?

Crazy to see the transformation from the first 4 years to this year. Dude was a ghost last year.

Finally playing behind a real NFL RE (Ziggy) and not some washed up schlub who lines up 5 yards to the left of the LT (KVB).

:10: Levy didn't all the sudden get better, he just doesn't have to do as much with the DL/DE helping him.

Is it just me or is he moving quicker this year as well (Did he talk to Leshoure?)? Maybe the light finally went on and he is no longer hesitating out there and making better reads.

He also ran down Travis Benjamin from behind. That is saying something.

He's always had good instincts and athleticism. Also behas always been better in man. He got a lot better at tackling and we can actually run man without the secondary getting burned.

I bitched about his new contract when it was signed because I thought it was well above his value based on his play in the previous years. If he was playing the same way this year I'd still be pissed, but thankfully he is playing pro bowl caliber football and looks like a steal with a contract averaging only $3.25m/yr.

Ive never liked levy....but ill admit....hes pro bowl caliber so far this year.....

Delmas staying healthy is huge also.....nice to see a defense not getting burned all game long for once.

I'm interested to see what Levy can do in this offense. If his penchant for INTs is for real, then he should feast in a scheme with more blitzing and disguised coverages.

Levy looked like he could become our full time MLB.

What do you guys think?

Did they announce what Tulloch's injury is? I haven't heard anything. Levy played well as a MLB, before being moved outside. As good as he has been playing at the OLB spot -- I would hate to see him moved inside though, though the Lions may not have much choice.

I'm not even sure who our backup MLB is? Does anyone know?

Travis Lewis. I think.

Long term injury or not, Tulloch is probably past his prime. Not sure how long he is signed for but I can't imagine he sees another contract in Detroit. Levy might make a nice future MLB. He played it in college.
