Even though everything worked out (credit to Boudreau) and OV got back out there and got the assist (credit to Boudreau) it does not excuse that attitude toward your coach. That is essentially your boss, you do not speak to your boss like that in the workplace outside of sports, therefore it should not be done inside of sports. Luckily OV got ice time, had I been the coach after he came back with words like that after a decision I made, he wouldn't have touched the ice in OT. Superstar or not.

based on how boudreau speaks on a game in and game out basis, i'm sure he doesn't mind.. every other word out of his mouth is worthy of covering a child's ears.. i'm surprised they even show him on tv anymore, its pretty bad

agreed. in a sport so complex as hockey for team chemistry you cant have your top player making open comments like that on the bench on the coach that is to lead you. that is NOT captain material. I would have benched him even if it resulted in a loss. especially since its early in the season and they have such a good record. its so much more important for the long run

I don't like OV talking like that to the coach, but (a) it wasn't directed at the coach, he was frustrated and muttered it to himself and (b) it happens from time-to-time during the season. OV has stepped up in the past and told Boudreau if you need to chew me out to motivate the team, do it. I think their relationship is fine and it's just a moment of frustration. No big deal.

he did it while facing the camera jeff. IMO it was directed at Bruce. why wouldnt it be? hes the only Fat Fuck on that team well next to Mike Green who is not playing right now

I hear ya, but I thought he literally said it to BB's face. Regardless, I still stand by my comment. My intent was if I was Boudreau and that was said to my face, he would not be on the ice for the remainder of the game. But if BB didn't know about it till after the fact, then... I dunno. There would be some discipline for sure.

No, he didn't say it to his face. He said it facing the ice (towards no one) as he sat back on the bench and Bruce was walking the other direction behind him on the bench. I don't think BB heard him, and it's tough to know, but I don't think OV intended him too. He was probably just pissed.

The fact is this team is more cohesive than any of the teams since OV arrived, so I'm not worried about it. BB/OV will work it out.
