Just watched Deadpool 2.

These just aren't that good and I'm glad I didn't fork over the cash to watch this in the theater.

Did a rewatch last night. Watched both, actually.

Both were hilarious. 1 was better because, well, origin stories are always better than followups. 2 was better because, well, it was just better. Better story, more laughs, BETTER laughs…

I feel like you disprove the notion that origin stories are always better than followups by saying that 2 had a better story and was much funnier.

Deadpool 2 is way better than Deadpool 1 imo.

I do think I agree that most superhero origin movies are better simply because there is a pretty reliable template. The cast in D2 is pretty stellar, though. Sometimes that is what it takes to bump the sequel to the next level.

The cast was so impressive they couldn’t even find screen time to give Brad Pitt even 1 line.


Now THAT is impressive.
